I basically need a script that can register a user on the phpBB 3.1.x database using the main website's registration process.
Users would register an account on the main website, and the script would use the supplied details to register them on the phpbb database. The script needs to be an independent PHP file / class, and it must work with the new architecture of phpBB 3.1.x (specifically with 3.1.2).
The script would need to follow the correct procedure for adding the phpbb records (which include some other background tasks eg: changing the newest member), and not only carefully formatted SQL statements.
Care must be taken to ensure that the passwords are hashed using phpbb 3.1.x's new passwords manager.
