Brief Description:
I am very, very bad in programming and thus, I have came here for help.
Basically, to create a program using Python IDE PyCharm or PyDev to detect topic. There are 4 categories namely: Politics, Sports, Natural Disasters and Terrorism. I was told to find 20 articles for each category. As such, I have researched online and have converted a total of 80 articles into text files.
The program structures (after throwing in the 80 textfiles into the program):
a) Using Bag-of-words and Tf-idf for "representation learning" and Support Vector Machine (SVM) for "pattern classifier".
b) Then, use Bag-of-words and Tf-idf for "representation learning" and Soft-max for "pattern classifier".
