This is the ideal job for those with a passion for travel research and who enjoy writing punchy informative articles.
You must demonstrate you have a good knowledge of the chosen region although it is not a requirement to have visited – there are plenty of online resources to utilise.
You must write in a fun and chatty style of the English language (no slang) and to engage the reader.
You must write using exceptional grammar and spelling. Errors are not acceptable.
Writing is to be aimed primarily at English speaking travellers from Australia, New Zealand and United Kingdom.
All articles MUST be ORIGINAL and will be checked with CopyScape.
Each destination article should be at least 350 words in length and be written in three paragraphs:
1) Introduction to the destination / region giving a condensed overview about what it has to offer the tourist and the type of holiday-maker it is likely to appeal to (approx 100 words).
2) Mini Travel Guide: Briefly describe the main towns / beaches / activities / attractions for holiday-makers including the most popular highlights - this paragraph to be the longest in word count (approx 200 words)
3) How easy it is to get around, what are the main accommodation regions, any comments about when best to visit, festivals etc (approx 50 words)
Bids will only be accepted for complete regions. Please state your bid price and the region you are bidding for along with details describing why you think you are the ideal person for the job including your experience both as a writer and in the chosen region. If you are bidding for multiple regions please state a break-down of the bid for each article in your post.
Please supply any one article as a sample of your writing style on which we will base our decision to award the project.
There are five main regions to bid on:
Australia = total of 42 destination articles
New Zealand = total of 20 destination articles
North Pacific = total of 40 destination articles
North America = total of 24 destination articles
Central & South America = total of 18 destination articles
