Internet research and data model development

Looking for a Business data analyst to perform online research of various websites & data sources (both public and private), with the goal of developing a representative data model for these sources, and importing relevant information into a newly designed repository for ongoing querying & analysis of that data.
Implementation of an automated import methodology for this data will be considered as a fast-follow opportunity after this initial work is completed.
Specific tasks
- Reviewing unstructured data from provided sources
- Performing additional, self-directed discovery of similar sources for review and possible inclusion into master dataset
- Design a single conformed logical model, with some support for custom attributes (based on analysis)
- Implement of data model for persistence in a database (relational or document-oriented)
- Import (manual data entry or automated, if possible) from various sources to this newly-developed database
- Develop and validation of common queries for data retrieval and reporting
- Development of a mapping strategy for potential future implementation of automated parsing/import
Skills needed
- Self-directed
- Experience in online research
- Experience in development and implementation of logical & physical data models
- Ability to build a taxonomy of like/associated terms for purpose of mapping/discovery
- Experience with unstructured / structured data mapping and ETL methodologies
Success measures
- Can work in a self-directed fashion, with little oversight
- Strong ability to communicate technical/non-functional challenges to a non-technical/business audience
- Leverages communication channels (email, messaging, wiki, etc.) to maximum effect with stakeholders
- Has a strength in finding order in chaos and bringing structure to highly unstructured potential source dataset.
