PhD Sociologist experienced in survey research. Prior/current focus on housing studies a plus, but not required.
The consultant will review a recent housing study and comment on research design and methodology. The consultant will also supervise a follow-up housing vacancy study to be carried out and scored by Psychology PhD familiar with survey research.
We are seeking assistance in planning/preparation and post-scoring statistical analysis for a housing vacancy study to be carried out in a small city. Approximately 950 questionnaires consisting of 5 to 6 questions using a Likert scale, will be sent to the owners of rental property. The sample will consist of those who fill out and return the questionnaire. The client will disseminate, process and score the results to be provided to the consultant for analysis.
Duties:
1. Review and comment on the current study.
2. Consult on instrument construction, data collection and scoring procedures for the follow-up study.
3. Provide statistical analysis, summary and conclusions regarding the scored survey results.
