I am seeking a screenwriter to write my story. Imagine a cross between "JOY", "Blindside" and "Rudy". The best description of my life's story would be "Against All Odds". Had the name not been used already.
Karen Castles Gray is a mother, a sister, a daughter. She is an entrepreneur, a CEO and a philanthropist. She is a self-made, independent woman who has risen from rags to riches throughout the course of her lifetime. Bost most importantly, she is all of us. Ms. Gray has endured a lifetime of struggles which has shaped the person that she is today.
To the majority of people who know her, her life is a Cinderella- story. To the people who know her well, her life has been an unpredictable journey of trial and error, including instances of abuse, depression and alcoholism.
This film is about a person who had to learn to believe in herself in order to conquer all of life’s obstacles and a story of all of the people who believed in her along the way.
From a young girl who lost her mother at the tender young age of three, to an unstoppable force in the boardroom... this is the story of a woman whose strength would inspire any person who ever doubted their own potential.
Stylistically, the film would ideally be similar to commercially successful biographical films such as, The Blind Side, Joy, Rudy and Devil Wears Prada. The most fitting genre for the film would be a “comedy”, with some darker elements of drama and tragedy.
