COM object for services

Create a COM object that is able to:

* list all running services (shortname - long name) Example: spooler - Print Spooler

* give the status of a service (running - stopped - stopping - starting - ...)

* and this on the localsystem AND on a remote system

The object needs to be able to authenticated towards the system and this via impersonation (while running as system account and as a specific account with admin rights on the local system)

The object needs to take in account a timeout value -> if there is no result within the given timeout then return an timeout error to the caller

If something goes wrong during the calling (authentication error or any other type of error, then clearly return that error).

All should be done using API calls and NOT WMI!

COM object will be called from VB6 and run on It wil run on Win2003/2008(R2)/XP/Vista/7/8(.1)/2012(R2) (and will be able to verify services on Win2003/2008(R2)/XP/Vista/7/8(.1)/2012(R2))

I prefer a none .NET solution.
