The completed project will:
1. Check the URL [url removed, login to view] every 24 hours to look for new properties listed
2. Download data for NEW properties showing up in the listings. Every data point is critical. For example, at the bottom of the detail page there are all the listings of the various rooms found in the house along with if they are on the U (upper), M (main), or B (basement) floors, and then the name of the room and the measurements of the room. Each room and piece of information about a property must be stored in such a way that it is easily referenced so I can query the database for how many rooms are on each level, and then what types of rooms, their area...etc.
3. Data will be downloaded and stored in a MySQL database with images stored in the local file system.
4. In the screenshots attached, it is important to get data from all 3 pages for each property as there is data on one page that is not found on the others.
5. The images downloaded should not be thumbnail images, but rather, the images that are 640x480px or larger
6. Storing the link to Google Maps for the property is essential as well.
The script can be written in PHP, Ruby, or Python, but data must be stored in MySQL. You will need to supply the script, the database sql file to create the database structure, and instructions including a list of all dependencies that need to be installed as I will be running this on my own Linux or Mac OS X machine.
