I need a novel proof-read and copyedited. Here are the details;
My first novel.
32,500 words. (approx. 115 pages cover to cover)
Copy editor should review;
Stylistic elements
-Concept
-Intended word use
-Organization
-Tone
-Characterization
-Genre-specific writing conventions
Technical elements
-Grammar
-Spelling
-Punctuation
-Consistency
Copy Editor MUST;
- BE NATIVE ENGLISH SPEAKER (from native english speaking country!)
- have degree in english, or other related field.
- must have 3+ years of experience in editing
- MUST be able to show examples of works you've edited.
ABOUT THE BOOK;
Collection of short stories about a young boy/teenager growing up in rural Canada. Content covers playing with friends, drinking, fighting with parents, loss of grandparents, and creating memories with friends and family. Copy editor must be able to relate to some of these things in order to have a good tone.
I do not want to spend much money on this copy editing as it will be my first publication, and won't sell many copies (although I hope it will!)
