Hello, I hope you are well. I am Kianoosh vafaei from Forat Production Company in the field of polypropylene film production. Our company has an innovative idea that we believe can significantly improve the cellophane production process. I am looking for a thermal knife that is specifically for cutting through plastic. This does not need to be a portable model, and I do not have a preference for standard or custom dimensions. I am looking for a thermal knife that can handle cutting through plastic with ease and precision.
Overview of the idea:
In order to increase the production of cellophane, our company intends to use a device (roll to roll) capable of longitudinal thermal cutting. The cellophane should be double-layered and at the same time weld it, but the seam must be tight so that we can sell it to the market. For this purpose, we have considered several methods:
1- Using a hot knife
2- Use of hot wire
3- Using ultrasonic
4- Use of laser
We have tried the hot knife before but did not get the desired result. We also used ultra sonic, but its stitching was weak and it would tear with little force.
