We are a young team that wants to develop an App that includes a timer. This timer needs to be started and stopped based on different states of the App. Once you open the App and press a button the timer starts. If you press the button again the timer should stop. If you lock the screen while you are in the app the timer should continue, but if you leave the app in any other way the timer should automatically stop. Leaving the app includes checking notifications, but any system messages (such as low battery warning) or an incoming phone call should not stop the timer.
We would like to hire you to develop a native module ([login to view URL]) that is working on both Android and iOS and provides an EventEmitter to JavaScript which emits four different events:
- AppOpened:
This event should be fired when the app goes to foreground.
- ScreenLocked:
this event should be fired when the user locks the screen while the App is in foreground
- AppClosed:
this event should be fired when the user leaves the app (i.e.: opens up another app, goes to the home screen or checks notifications)
- PopupDetected:
This event should be fired when a popup is detected. Popups include phone calls and system messages, such as battery level low warning
This native module should be provided as an npm package if possible, but we are also open to other solutions.
The sample app described in the first section should also be developed as a proof of concept.
