Asana is a powerful task management app that is used by many small businesses to manage their team. Despite a feature rich mobile app, there is still a surprising friction in being able to quickly and easily submit quick tasks. Our idea is to do away with an information-rich UI and text-input, and allow users to submit tasks using voice recordings.
Our mobile app will have an extreme minimalist UI that will simply record voice notes through native platform capabilities, and submit these as attachments to tasks created via the Asana API. The removal of typing and visual clutter will allow the user to quickly produce a task on a whim and on-the-go.
It is our intention to first develop a fully functional MVP and then expand on the feature set over time. The scope of the project and your bid on Freelancer is limited to just this MVP release.

We ask for you to quote us for the above specification, but we'd also be interested in hearing another quote that also includes the addition of video capture. I understand that the Android API supports this, but iOS does not. Yet, there may be workarounds ([login to view URL]).
A limited, but functional, proof-of-concept has already been created using HTML/PHP. A recording is produced by the browser using HTML5 and automatically posted to Asana over their API. The codebase for this can be found at: [login to view URL]

This should be a painless and fun project for someone who knows what they're doing. The above task is a fixed price project, but will develop into a larger project over time. Additional milestones can be offered as the scope expands.
