Artists Statement
Art is the vehicle of expression for me. When my creative thoughts are running, my thoughts are not about how this color looks here or if they blend. My hand flows. My eyes speak. I know something from inside is directing my thoughts. To me, it is a natural feel rather than mechanical. My base of art expression is the love of nature. The feelings that I have, when thinking of the purity of plants and animals, is entrancing. I feel as one with them. Isn't it amazing to have so many different creatures living on one planet? My purpose is to bring a unique focus to what we take for granted in our daily lives. The greatest pleasure for me is when I can reach out to people with my art, with the understanding of my expression without words. It is difficult for me to put feelings into words. As my head intensely goes through its thoughts and ideas, I think deeply. I need to get outside and feel the air. As I think deeply, the spinning thoughts slow down. Then the calmness brings the pieces together.
