VMS Systems Manager - Interconnect Technical Services, Toledo, OH (4/96 - 8/96) Under contract to Libby Owens Ford for basic VMS systems management functions, system tuning, specifying HW upgrades, and user support. Network support and configuration using Netview. Database development, maintenance and administration using Oracle and Access. The database was for an automated warehouse tracking and order system for their OEM glass division in a clustered VMS environment. The Administration and tuning of this database occupied about sixty percent of my support time. Technical Support Engineer - Crystal Group, Inc., Hiawatha, IA (6/95 - 2/96) Customer support for the PC based platform Crystal Group manufacturers. New product design and engineering for customer requirements, pre and post sales engineering support. The customer support included compatibility support of NT, DOS, OS/2, NetWare, and various flavors of Unix. Internal support and development in C, C++, VB, Access, network administration and design. The database development was for a system to track RMA’s form customers and print the reports for the items to be returned to manufactures. Worked on some driver development using C and C++ for the drivers on CPU cards we used for our products. The customer base was mostly in Telecommunications using multi DSP cards in the PC’s. Software Engineer - Insight Industries, Plattville, WI (11/93 - 4/95) Working under contract to Rockwell’s Collins General Aviation Division designing and coding test software for commuter and corporate size aircraft to ensure that flight code meets the functional requirements for FAA certification.
