I'm a qualified management accountant working at one of the big4 audit firms as an associate. I was assigned to different project during my period at PwC. There were internal audit assignment which I had to focus on separate processes for example procurement, sales and receivable, treasury etc. to assess the appropriateness of the existence controls which would minimize the possible risks to enable company to achieve its objectives. Also I had to do testings to ensure the effectiveness controls whether established controls are actually in place and being practiced by the employees. I'm currently playing a senior role in handling external audits. Which involves more financial statement related work. I am responsible of performing adequate testing to support partners to give appropriate opinions on the financial statements. For this I have to follow established firm methodologies and standards in performing work and in documentation of the work performed.
