I needed to simplify an algorithm into some sample code in order to fully understand the AVFoundation's AVAssetWriterInputPixelBufferAdaptor. This adaptor stitches OpenGL frames into a movie. [login to view URL] UnPublished iOS Apps: MyGuardianAngel - This project is a 911 emergency service to contact your emergency contacts and transmit GPS coordinates/stream audio/upload video instantly whenever you need help. It also allow a simple GPS checkin to your contacts. Musimotion - I wrote this entire project from scratch based on the "iPhone 3D" book from O'Reilly. Search YouTube for Musimotion to see how you can animate shapes and images to the beat of your iPod Music, for iPad. This soon to be released OpenGL application will compliment iMovie because it adds physics, brushes, and touch based image manipulations to your movies. I was inspired by Apple's Motion® when I designed this project. Recreate effects like the Ken Burns image slideshow and dynamically record your touch based movements for unique transitions. I wrote PERL scripts to analyze protein candidates for structure resemblance and CGI interfaces to the web for DNA sequence analysis. These applications provided insight into the methylation trends of DNA. I was also tasked to read a MySQL protein binding interface database and display protein interfaces. Presented at Mac World Wide Developers Conference 2007 Science Poster session. Undergraduate Student Researcher Dec’04-Aug’06 Computational simulations of Drosophila (fruit fly) eye development. We developed a statistical model of cell proliferation allowing you to introspect genomic events statistically. Presented at Mac World Wide Developers Conference 2006 Science Poster session. I performed genetics with D. melanogaster including DNA extraction, PCR amplifications, In-Situ Hybridizations as well as FRT-Flip recombinase experiments in a gene localization project. I see these experiences as primitive programming techniques with biological computers. Rifle Drill National Champion of the Fish Drill Team 2002-2003 The Fish Drill Team is an elite unit of the Texas A&M’s Corps of Cadets second only the the U.S. Marine corps. In 2003, the Fish Drill Team took 1st place in exhibition rifle drill at the 31st Annual Mardi Gras Drill competition at Tulane University, defeating about 50 schools including North Georgia Military Academy, the U.S. Naval and Military Academies, and The Citadel. Undergraduate Quantitative Biology and Mathematics Participant 2004-2007 Funded by The National Science Foundation (NSF), this program was developed for undergraduates interested in studying biology and mathematics. Participants had to fulfill a rigorous, interdisciplinary curricula that included extra biology and mathematics courses. In addition, students were teamed with professors.
