Linux ubuntu multiple display help needed

Hi, I need a Linux expert who could help me setup a usb - dvi adapter by Sabrent (USB-DH88) on Ubuntu 11.04 ...

I only have on VGA port on my laptop that I am using for an extended desktop. I want to add another monitor and purchased this adapter to have a 2nd external monitor setup.

Ideally I would like to use my laptop's LCD display as one monitor, 1 external monitor on VGA and another one with the USB Adapter. However, if 3 is not an option, I want to use the 2 external monitors and shut off the LCD of the laptop.

I am fairly new to Linux and don't want to mess with the configuration files and take a chance, so am looking for someone who can do this.

Ubuntu 11 does not use [url removed, login to view] file, so I believe the process would include creating one and making it work.

Let me know if you could do this. I may need help on other projects in the future.
