Addon for Kannel SMS Gatway

Kannel is an open-source SMS gateway for GSM networks, interfacing with providers using protocols like SMPP, EMI/UCP, and HTTP. We would like an "smppbox" add-on, which interfaces to Kannel's existing bearerbox architecture and allows SMPP 3.3/3.4 connection to Kannel for message submission and passes them to the bearerbox for transmission. An existing app for Kannel called "smsbox" exists, which does the above via HTTP interfacing, and source code is publically available so this is a very good place to start from. Kannel is written in C, and compiles (and runs) on Linux, Solaris, Cygwin, etc.
