Add Ajax search function to intranet ASPX page

We have an internal database which is visible via a web browser and uses SQL tables. I would like the search function in the [login to view URL] page to display data via an ajax search rather than the current restricted search which only looks for absolute searches. Currently in the SQL table we have three columns "Reference", "Product", Description". Product and Description are the searchable fields but I would like the option to be able to add new columns and new search function be able to search the new columns without and complicate programming.
