BACKGROUND: I need WebP support with scaled and progressive decoding on older Android devices for a project. There is a SWIG based NDK / JNI wrapper bundled with the libwebp library, but this sadly does not wrap anything from the Advanced API, and is thus useless for me. REQUIREMENTS: - Must work on Android - Must expose the Simple and Advanced APIs in libwebp to Java - Must accept and return image/pixel data via [login to view URL] buffers - Must build as part of the libwebp source tree via ndk-build - Your Java wrapper API may deviate from the libwebp API where it makes practical sense, but should try to emulate the structure of libwebp in a one-to-one fashion where possible. TIMELINE: As quickly as possible!
