I need to design an Android application which will run on Set-top-Box. The application will NOT be on Google store or any public site for download. The application will be a simple client with following steps : - intro image on run - Present list of categories of streams and a special folder of "Favorites" - on choice of category : open the list of streams - Names of channels are presented to users with a Id number - and user can scroll down / up and Enter to launch a stream ( or directly push the ID number of remote controle to launch the stream ) - User can bookmark a channel to "Favorites" folder Some specifications : - Streams names and links are hosted on a server ( xml or any format possible ) - Path to the server folder should be in settings hidden from user ( in the code ) - a txt file from the server should be read on each run to see if version of list has changed - if not then no action - if the version number on server and app doesnt match then the app should update all list / categories / names / ids ... and update in local the version number
