Hello I would be very pleased to help you edit your book and have had a good look through the sample you kindly attached to the project. It was clear what is required as the style of editing is concerned, but are you aware that there are 8 punctuation errors - mainly missing commas - two grammatical errors and two continuity errors in the top, edited copy? As an example, you say Koda spotted the birds living in the tree at the beginning of a sentence, yet refers to them then looking through the grass at the end. Also you say Koda woke before his mother and then stated that she looked at him, when the text implies she is still asleep. Editing isn't just about spotting spelling mistakes. These points hopefully back up why I have the highest English score of any Freelancer for the top level US English 3 exam and why I have exemplary feedback. I have only been on Freelancer for 10 months as opposed to three or four years like some, but my repeat hire rate, or number of clients who retain my services, is nearly 50% higher than any other editor and proofreader, which says a lot! Dear tscrandall, I've looked at your sample edits. I could easily have this book edited, formatted, and back in your hands within 2 weeks of bid acceptance. In addition to fixing grammatical errors, I would perform basic edits on the prose to make it read well. Although almost all of my former vWorker/Freelancer.com jobs have been in the realm of SEO article work, I am currently an editor at a science fiction and fantasy magazine where I am responsible for first edits on stories, as well as proofreading the issues before they go to press.
