Below is an outline of the machine which would be used for processing chemical (deaeration of various powders).
I would use 5 or 6 servo motors (sealed ac brushless type coupled with gears) to run different parts. These motors would be programmed by PLC and controlled through HMI.
Processing Chambers:
A : The powder to be processed would enter a feed hopper assembly. This assembly would include
1 - A lump breaker
2 - Two horizontally aligned auger screw pushing the material towards a third auger screw fixed
vertically between the two.
Preferably one motor coupled with a suitable gearbox would be able to run this assembly or alternatively one motor would run the lump breaker and horizontal augers and a second motor for the vertical auger.
B : The vertical auger would force the material into the nip of two metal rolls mounted below (each weighing 35 kg with a Diameter of12”,and width 4.5”) mounted below.
1 - These rolls would be rotating in opposite directions by two motors.
2 - The mounting mechanism would allow the gap between these rolls adjustable at a desired value from 1 to 10 mm.
C : The flakes of the material would fall onto another rotating metal roll weighing 10 kg with a diameter of 10” and width of 8” which would be run by another motor.
1 - This roll would force the flakes through a wire mesh mounted immediately underneath.
2 - The material from the screen would exit out of machine.
This is a layout of the processing chamber that would be in contact with the chemical undergoing the process. During processing, this area would remain sealed (by a plexiglass door) not allowing any material to escape into the room.
Note:
Material would enter the feed hopper through a sealed feeding system and would exit into a sealed container which are not the part of this equipment.
An ideal design:
1: should allow a quick assembly and disassembly (preferably mounting and dismounting type) of hopper, lump breaker, all three augers, the metal rolls and the screen underneath for cleaning / washing purposes.
2: should be free of narrow or sharp contours and difficult to reach or obscured areas to facilitate cleaning
Mechanical Chamber:
Behind this processing chambers would be the mechanical chambers containing all the electric and electronic components. This area would be divided into two portions one for the electro-mechanical components and the other for the electronic components.
A : It should also have a room for a hydraulic unit.
B : There would be a couple of fans and heat exchanger to prevent overheating.
I need a 3D design / sketch that I can take to a metal shop to get this machine manufactured.
