We are looking for either a person or a team specialized on embedded design and high volume manufacturing to develop a system with the following sensors:
- GPS module (accuracy 5-10 meters, 3-8 satellites - Hot and Cold start is not an issue - Can get up to one minute or more)
- Digital camera (1280 * 720 or 1300 * 1040, autofocus, white balance)
There should also be a DSP module included in case the camera does not take clear photos (stabilized and in-focus). This is an issue that can be extensively explained as soon as you get hired. Extra caution should be given to the consumption of the camera in the standby mode.
- IR LEDs (for amplified night vision)
- G-sensor (accelerometer)
- (GSM/GPRS - Quad band GSM 850/900/1800/1900 MHz)
- USB module (USB mini) (for communication and charging)
- Wi-Fi module (its range should be up to 15 meters under normal conditions - this is also an issue that can be explained in detail if and when needed)
- Either Lithium or LiPo Battery 750mAh (or more) 3.7V (or whatever fits in the dimensions given)
The arising device should be charged approximately every 48 hours of constant use.
We can provide many clarifications and project oriented explanations upon request.
The whole system must have a REALLY LOW consumption. Every module should be able to work in a stand-by mode (as to lower the battery volume).
The resulting board should fit approximately to the following dimensions : 26mm x 40mm x 8.4mm (Less is more!)
We expect a full product design with all other aspects like the power supply and casing (if the overall price is not too high). We target to a price effective and durable product that can work 24/7. We are also open to use ready boards if it can fulfill our needs.
The ideal candidate (be it a person or a whole team) should provide technical reports and full documentation when needed and according to the projects requirements.
We expect a complete design (hardware design, schematics design, PCB design, EMI/EMC compliance) and 3 working prototypes.
