I need a visual concept of the following: Reservoirs The solution consist of two large reservoirs one slightly larger than the other (Sizes are dependent upon the magnitude of oil and gas being expelled by the well). The reservoirs are connected by two separate pipelines closed off buy 4 unidirectional valves, one at each end of both pipes. At the bottom of each reservoir is another pipe leading to the base of the system. The reservoirs can also be configured to sit on each side of the system acting as the transport wheels for the unit. This entails a different configuration for the base unit inlets. Base of the system The base of the system consist of a large rectangular metal receptacle with on hole bored in the front which leads to a u-joint or elbow with a unidirectional valve in the base at one end. The u-joint or elbow leads to a welded or seated pip extending through the top to accept the pipe from one of the reservoirs. The other end of the whole leads to a pipe extending out of the front of the system. This pipe is the interfacing medium for the leaking well. The pipe is also equipped with an oversized high-pressure clamp. The high pressure clamp is connected to a motorized pulley. The pulley serves as the locking system for the oversized high-pressure clamp. Another hole is bored to the rear of the base. This one is bored at an angle. This angle varies dependent upon the size of the reservoirs. This bored hole leads directly into the unidirectional valve of the u-joint or elbow and contents flow from this pipe to in the direction in which the unidirectional valve opens. The other end of this bored hole leads to another welded or seated pipe that accepts the pipe extending from the base of the second reservoir. Pulley / Wench system The pulley / wench system is an electric pulley /wench housed in a plastic dome. Also housed in the dome is a camera, electrical interface, and air tube. Each joint is joined within a high-pressure clamp. All clamps are anchored to the pipes via hook and latching systems, chain link, or another form of attaching mechanism. Brief description of how the solution is different from anything that currently exists in this configuration. There currently is nothing to compare this invention to. Description of Invention Oil Spill Response Solution Short description This is a Mechanical solution allowing for capping and later extraction of oil and gas. Problem solved Currently there is no technological alternative for stopping a deep sea oil well leak. (i.e. BP Gulf of Mexico Oil Leak) How the solution solve this problem This solution allows for the remote sealing of the leaking riser pipe and later extraction of oil. This can serve as a permanent solution. Transport Module The unit rest atop a transport module, again the size is dependent upon the magnitude of the solution. A 6-8 wheel remote vehicle is affixed to the base of the system. The vehicles platform is equipped with suspension system that allows for adequate flexing to facilitate a level connection between the extended medium from the front of the system and the ruptured well. Optional elements How the Solution Works The remote vehicle is moved into place. Once the over sized clamp is aligned the pulley is activated and the clamp is locked in place. The oil and gas are then forced into the first reservoir. When enough pressure is built up the gas and oil will then begin to exit the first reservoir and enter into the second. Once the pressure is high enough in the second container the oil will be forced back toward the u-joint or elbow and the unidirectional valve in the base of the system. This will create equilibrium of pressure where an identical amount of pressure is forced back towards the well. Implementing this solution, allows for later extraction of the oil and gas. Once in place the systems are scalable by stacking or webbing reservoirs. An alternative method is to drill diagonally into the original well, and remove and cap the pipe receiving the input from the second reservoir. Another pipe is then mounted and anchored to the diagonally intersecting well with a unidirectional valve. This will begin stabilizing pressure before it gets to the riser.
