build a cleinte side responsive single page website prototype for a php/JSON server side (provided)

The project requires the implementation of the client side aspects for a single page website using php/JSON on the server side. The project consist of customizing the responsive template AdminLTE ([login to view URL]) to be used as a single page client that interacts with the server side *.php scrips (around 20) using JSON. The final client will contain a very small subset of UI features provides by AdminLTE but will need some additional ones. In a nutshell client is a very simplified version of FACEBOOK which contains: 1. expandable side menu which includes links to: NEWSFEED, CALENDAR, MESSAGES, BOOKMARKS, HIDDEN. 2. top bar/menu should include: calendar icon/link; newsfeed icon/link; messages icon/link to messages box; 3. a main content/frame area to display the selected content including a top bar with a few simple dropdown filters. 4. for the NEWSFEED: a list of boxes like on FACEBOOK with each including action buttons/icons to HIDE, BOOKMARK, TAKE A NOTE. 5. for the NEWSFEED: the "load more" button at the end of the frame; the 'x news stories' load button when appropriate. 6. separate login/logon pages All data is to be pulled from the server via PHP calls which will return JSON. There are around 15 to 20 PHP/JSON scripts in the server that need to be used, each requiring a correspondent client Javascript process which mostly consist of displaying the data received using specific templates. Ideally during first load data should be pulled from the server and stored within javascript for future use when the user requests it. The client side (ie, the requested implementation) will eventually run on UIWebView within a IOS APP and webView within an Android app. You'll have access to the server where the prototype will run and will be able to change or suggest changes to the PHP/JSON server script, if you believe those changes can facilitate/improve your implementation. The PHP/JSON is not yet implemented and will be delivered in tandem with this project. I am happy not to use AdminLTE and only bootstrap if the result is similar. I am happy for the developer to use angular.js if he feel it can be a better solution.
