The job you describe is exactly what I am currently doing for the magazines Affluent (a Florida Gold Coast regional) and Kentucky Homes & Gardens. I ghost edit the articles for spelling and grammar, check that photos and captions match and write the table of contents and front cover copy. I have 20+ years experience copywriting about fashion, from budget to couture. My clients include major U.S. department stores, specialty boutiques, websites and wholesalers. You don't say how many articles each issue has, nor how long they are. So I'm basing my bid on 10-15 articles per issue, less than 1,500 words per article. Please let me know if it will be significantly less or more than this and I will revise my bid.

While I don't have magazine experience, I always seek to broaden my horizons as an editor, so I'm very interested in bringing my professionalism and talent to the table as a freelance copy editor for your magazine, while readily learning how the magazine publishing field works.

Dear Enquirer I currently provide proofreading and copy-editing support for two UK magazines - one is a glossy, "handbag-size" fashion magazine, and the other is a music magazine. I also provide proofreading support for students and small businesses; and write press releases for a national UK conservation charity. Work is checked using the "Track Changes" facility in Word, and then when the magazine is in design format, the final PDF is also checked, to ensure that no errors have crept in. Depending on the amount of work I have on at a particular time, Word articles of 250-300 words can usually be proofed and returned within 30 minutes. I look forward to hearing from you. Yours Debra
