Build excel reports from MYOB Data

Hi, I have extensive experience in Excel and Access within the investment banking industry and I also have 2 postgraduate qualifications so your project will be straightforward to implement. I previously worked in a finance (risk) department and have worked on a database for an accounting firm more recently. I've done some research on MYOB and have determined there are several ways of exporting data depending on your setup. The easiest method is using the 'Import/Export Assistant' from the File menu - this exports to a text file that can be imported to Excel/Access. Local company files can also be imported to Excel (indirectly to Access) using the web query feature in Excel (which can be automated). For complete database automation there used to be an inbuilt ODBC driver but in later versions of AccountRight this has been replaced with a more complex web services API (with which I can easily access cloud files using Excel VBA). Alternatively you can use a third party add-on called ODBClink which presents the same API as an ODBC driver.
