Designing a Creative and fun logo for a company

We're in need of a creative logo with text and image. We're looking for two things. A simple stylish logo with the text and image which needs to work in color and black/white. Think of an Sliding Turtle illustration (maybe partly inside it's shell) sliding off the company name (Sliding Turtle). We also want to have this illustration to work without the text. Try to keep number of colors to a minimum but still have a creative look. We want to have a toony-looking logo in colors that attracts children and sends the message of fun and exiting. Our name is Sliding Turtle and we want to create a logo that incorporates the name with the two letters "S" and "T". The design should work with an wide rectangle. The image should work in a square crop. Vector graphics is a requirement. We also need font that is used for the name to be specified. Any free-font is very welcome. We need to have the final working files (illustrator/indesign/photoshop) to adopt the design for our different platforms.
