When executing our device-responsive web design and development projects, we focus on three main aspects. Aesthetic, management system, and content.
Adhering to a style which genuinely matches up to and properly expresses the brand's personality is of utmost importance. We work our clients to understand their brand's identity and translate that into the best font, color palette, and layout selections possible. For example, a corporate accounting firm's look and feel would likely have serif headings, a more monotone color scheme, and plenty of white space, while an artist portfolio would likely utilize vibrant colors, more daring fonts, and heavy photography.
Our process typically starts out with an intake meeting with the client, in which any required style guide rules are noted, a description of the company's mission and personality are gone over, and the desired reaction of the intended audience is shared. Additionally, any technical specs which need to be met (ie: must accept PDF uploads), are talked over and noted.
Following this meeting, we create a color palette, select a suite of typefaces, a content management system, and request any and all available text/photo content. if content does not exist, we can create that as well. After these elements are signed off on, we create a mockup of the layout and submit it for approval. Next, the site is developed on a live server, and submitted for approval. Any necessary tweaks are made and then once approved, it is made live.
