I need a bash scripot that collect these informations: CPU load 1min CPU load 5min CPU load 15min Disk usage Memory usage All values must be converted in percentage. Multi cpu may be managed in some way. Values are stored into variables and then sent to an external server using a link like this The script will be lounched every 5 minutes by a cron in linux. [server_address]?c1=[cpu_load1]&c5=[cpu_load5]&c15=[cpu_load15]&d=[disk_usage]&m=[memory_usage] where server_address is a variable with the path to call Example http://my.server/myapp/c1=16&c5=13&c15=11&d=45&m=58 c1 = 16 is 16% of cpu total c5 = 13 is 13% of cpu total c15 = 11 is 11% of cpu total d=45 is 45% usage of disk total m=58 is 58% usage of memory total

I can do this script, I do scripts like You described long time. on bash. You said - cron will run it once per 5 minutes - may be per 1 minute??? as CPU statistic 1, 5, 15min needed

I think there will be a problem with percentage of load. Linux load is not only about CPU, but others resources are calculated too. Unix systems traditionally just counted processes waiting for the CPU, but Linux also counts processes waiting for other resources — for example, processes waiting to read from or write to the disk. On its own, the load number doesn’t mean too much. A computer might have a load of 0 one split-second, and a load of 5 the next split-second as several processes use the CPU. Even if you could see the load at any given time, that number would be basically meaningless. There is nothing like 100% load. I can display current value of CPU usage, but not load recalculate to % . And disk usage is similar thing. There is percentage of single partition, or multiple partition, but what about unused part from volumegroups or disk part used by swap? I can help to you redefine your needs and write correct script for this :)
