I have an existing virtual private server on godaddy setup. I need GIT setup and a live development branch setup on a subdomain of the website - something like dev.website.com. It will be used for testing, then it will be merged with the master branch and live website when all of the testing is complete. Then more development will be performed, then testing, then merge. I tried to set this up in the past with other professionals with no luck. Hopefully someone can figure out what\'s wrong and get it up and working.

Hi there. . . Well I have an instance of gitlab installed and setup on my own linode vps. We use it for sharing material on our research papers. It too is setup on a subdomain. So i'll setup a gitlab on your subdomain. You'll use this gitlab to update your projects etc. Then on your website we'll close your project from the gitlab and do updates where we want the site to get updated from the gitlab.. Let me know .. Have already worked on the GIT with Linux system, and well versed with the branching strategies used by GIT. So just creating the dev and master branch would not suffice in controlling the commits to be pushed to master, where restrictions pave their way, to keep you production release transparent and always have the capability of back tracing.
