Basic web based client management.

I'm just visualizing a pretty, but basic web based database. One where I could "search" for a client, find it and add a "post". This post would know the date/time. I can see a history of these posts. I can edit these posts. I can add a new client. Name, phone, address, payed up/current owe. Data on client: server, IP, passwords, static/dynamic, notes. This is all in the clients module that can be searched on later to add "posts" too. The web interface is simple. A search filed and "add" field and "admin" button. The web interface would also know if this was a mobile device (iphone, blackberry, windows mobile) and display for each one it's specific way. I know the coding for this is not wonderfully difficult. I was thinking this all should be done under Drupal, PHP, so we can change things later. Or maybe some form of wiki? This database needs to be user/pass protected obviously. (Admin button). The only special things I could think about might be a way to add in each post automatically is to show the last techs name in the post that made the post. Also maybe once logged in, you get to see the latest posts made for a quick overview of what was done today. Maybe Google Calendar plug in? RSS? Maybe the possibility to let more companies add there own database after a sign up? I'm not sure about these smaller options until I get to use it and test it out.
