convert regular mysql queries to JDO or JPA (to access Google Data store) in a java application

I have a project management script which is in Java. The script connects to a mysql database. I want you to convert all queries to use either JDO or JPA(Persistent access). The idea being, this application should be made to work in Google App Engine. For that the queries have to be converted to use JDO or JPA, and connect to Google Data Store.
