Hello everyone,
I’m working on a zip code proximity search application, right now the system we have in place is working great, you can enter in a city, state, or zip code and get correct results, wahoo. Now the client would like to add the ability to also have a search by a location category.
I have one table setup to save the list of locations with its contact information and address, then I created a table to hold each category’s title and enabled/disabled status, then I created another table to hold the information that links the locations with the categories, I will attach an SQL dump of each of the 3 tables so you can see how they are setup.
You can view a demo of what we have working so far: [login to view URL]
If you have a strong understanding of PHP and mySQL this should not take more than an hour to fix the query.
To recap, we need help adding “category” to the query when someone does a search and selects a category from the dropdown menu in our demo site, and then maybe skip it if they did not select a category (select value is set to “all”).
If you have any questions or need more information please ask before bidding. If you do not think you can get this done in a timely manner, please do not bid.
