Database project with infinite child levels

I need help in creating a database to contain information about equipment. The problem is that every piece of equipment can have 'child' equipment, to a theoretical (but not practical) infinite limit. Every piece of equipment is 1 of 6 different type of equipment (motor, pump, pressure vessel, other, etc.). There is also information that must be tracked for each type of equipment whose fields are based on the type of equipment it is. I am using an SQL Server to store the information using ADO in VB6. The coder must use ADO and VB6 only. I will provide you with an example MS Access MDB file with a small set of typical equipment and the diagram that I have so far. I am looking to enhance this diagram to make it work better. I do not know how to properly create the database structure so that heirchal recordsets can be formed. I also do not know how to set up the proper connections of different tables based on the EquipmentType and have it all linked together. An example program will be required showing the results of the database structure with buttons to add and delete equipment from the database. ## Deliverables 1) Complete and fully-functional working program(s) in executable form as well as complete source code of all work done. 2) Complete ownership and distribution copyrights to all work purchased. 3) All code must be in VB6 and ADO. ## Platform Win XP only ## Deadline information Project is due no later than 1 week after acceptance, faster is better which will lead to a bonus at my discression.
