Desktop app to present HTML, PDF, and Audio files

This isn't a challenging project (should be a snap for a competent programmer) but it's the kind of project that can be really fun. =:) I have a series of HTML pages, PDF documents, and audio files to present to the user. I'd like a "front end" so all of the pieces appear to be part of the same project. The interface is simple -- mainly a list that shows the different topics available to view and a way to display HTML pages, PDFs, or the audios. Almost NOTHING in this app is hard-coded -- just about every aspect of the application is pulled from XML files. What you're coding is basically a shell so I can change the look and contents of the application by changing the underlying XML files. First choice of programming language for this is RealBasic - I'll give an RB programmer a $50 bonus. Second (and only other choice) is VB6 (I do not like VB.NET). You also need to use QuickTime to play the audio files, so check for QuickTime when the app is launched. If you want to play audio files with something other than QuickTime, convince me why that's a good idea. (depending on the nature? of the deliverables): a)? For web sites or? other server-side deliverables intended to only ever exist in one place in the Buyer's environment--Deliverables must be installed by the Seller in ready-to-run condition in the Buyer's environment. b) For all others including desktop software or software the buyer intends to distribute: A software? installation package that will install the software in ready-to-run condition on the platform(s) specified in this bid request. 3) All deliverables will be considered "work made for hire" under U.S. Copyright law. Buyer will receive exclusive and complete copyrights to all work purchased. (No GPL, GNU, 3rd party components, etc. unless all copyright ramifications are explained AND AGREED TO by the buyer on the site per the coder's Seller Legal Agreement). ## Platform Windows XP if done in VB6 If done in RealBasic then add Mac OS X to the list since RB is cross-platform. I'm willing to do the Mac testing for developers who only do Windows.
