Hi,
I am having a problem using transparent background PNG images. Everything is ok when viewing in IE7, Mozilla Firefox, Opera etc but when using IE5/6 a grey border is displayed instead of transparency.
There is a well known issue with PNG's in IE5/6 so this should be very easy to fix.
I simply need to know what the fix is so I can apply it to my design. Payment released once the issue with my site is resolved.
I am using a 3 column CSS design with one main body background and additional PNG background images in left/right/central columns.
Many thanks.
the problem is that ie5/6 does not support png/transparency. There's no way to make the transparency work. But u can trick it:
use jpg. Instead of 2 layers :background and transparent, you create the image non-transparent(jpg format) but with the background underneath it too... that way, you give the impression of transparency and it's actually a jpg.
if you have any more questions, I am here.
If i helped, please accept my bid.
thank you
Ciprian
