Desktop Alert/Marketer

Getting users to interact with a website more often is of paramount importance; it impacts revenue. A user who infrequently visits a site is a missed opportunity. We need to be able to send messages directly to our customers desktops. We need you to design a multi-channel direct to desktop application designed to notify users when information is available from a company. This desktop awareness keeps a brand, content, and value visible between visits, continually encouraging a return to a site. It must be build a fully customizable application that is based on a our content and requirements. Downloadable directly our site, it's opt-in and gives your business an un-metered channel to our users. ## Deliverables Our prospects, customers, or subscribers download our Desktop Reader. Once they do, a small icon will sit in their taskbar trays (in the lower right hand corner of their screens). How this little icon looks and what it's called is completely customizable -- it's 100% customizable. We could name it "MyListWizard's Tip of the Day," "Finance Newsletter," "Recipe Monthly"... whatever fits our business. And we would like a number of ready-to-use desktop icon graphics to choose from, or we can create our own and use it, instead. Either way, once our subscribers download our customized Desktop Reader, it will sit in their taskbar tray and notify them of any NEW messages we have sent them. (If they're offline, they'll receive it the moment they connect to the Internet again.) And our subscribers will automatically know they have a new message waiting, because a little 'balloon' window will appear. Then, all they have to do to read our message is click on the 'balloon' and the desktop reader opens to display our message. Creating our message bulletins for subscribers is by using a text or HTML Bulletin from scratch in the desktop marketer message editor. Or we can simply import an existing message from an HTML editing program. As soon as our message is ready, we just hit "Send" and your message will be distributed to all of our current subscribers automatically. ## Platform Windows
