CAMERA CLUB TRAINER FOR CHILDREN

Camera Club Trainer **this job is located in Epsom-Ashtead-Leatherhead with 1-3 hours work per day on ad hoc – please only apply if you are local to this area** Job Profile • A camera club trainer supports children in learning the practical aspects of photography and also includes computer work using programmes and software to show or guide the children through this club. Duties include • Setting up and organising the indoor/outdoor area with props ready for the club • Switching on the computer and navigating to the visual lesson plan to start your lesson • Completing a register each week and ensuring your children arrive on time • Running a practical lesson for 40 minutes • Helping children with their cameras and settings • Giving the children feedback on their photos and how to improve • Supervising the children for the whole session • Looking after children who are upset & managing class behaviour • Taking part in training • Carrying out administrative tasks Skills you will need: • Experience of working with children • Knowledge of photography • The ability to build good relationships with children & the schools • Flexibility & creativity • Good reading, writing, numeracy and IT skills • Access to the internet at home • Patience and a sense of humour • The ability to manage groups of children and cope with challenging behaviour • How to teach prepared lesson plans • Work with the schools to increase the awareness of the club through photo competitions and extra advice Absolute essentials • Drivers licence and transport • No criminal convictions as you will need to go through a police check • To be available each week within each school term (all school holidays are taken as holiday) Hours of work: 12-1 and 3-4pm (times may vary slightly with each individual school) Pay: £15 per hour for 10 children and £1 extra for each extra child (class can take 25 children). £20 per hour to cover an alternative club trainers club. £10 per hour for administrative duties.
