I have a matlab function (135 lines) and two further very small functions (36 lines and 33 lines) that need to be rewritten to work in python (v2.7). The code is mostly matrix manipulations, with calls to log, sqrt, diff, mean, psi, etc. You are only expected to replace functions with those already available in numpy/scipy.
For instance, the call to mean() in matlab needs to be replaced with [login to view URL]() and work on numpy arrays. The call to psi() needs to be replaced with [login to view URL]().
The libraries you can import are restricted: standard library and any of: cmath, collections, functools, math, numpy, scipy, statsmodels
You will need: Matlab, Python2.7, and the ability to test that your implementation works with some datasets that I will give you. It needs to produce the right results or your implementation may not be correct.
Hello
Senior CS undergrad. Currently involved in machine learning research at IIT Bombay. Have been using numpy, matlab and pandas in my research projects for the past three years. This should be easy. Can do it in a few hours.
Look forward to work with you.
