DDOS Attacks

The objective of this project is to engage you into one of security topics on operating system, or more widely host-side, to get a sense of what state-of-the-art techniques are available for that particular problems in the research community. Due to the time limit, the topic should be rather narrow and specific enough to focus yourself to deep down on one dimension. You are expected to intensively search and review recent literatures from security conferences like USENIX, IEEE S&P. The output of this project is a short survey for a specific security topic, for example, buffer oveflow. The writeup of the project should address four points: Describe the problem clearly and why it matters; Summarize of at least three scientific papers on this topic published in security conference; Discuss and compare these techniques proposed by those papers and elaborate the pros and cons; Propose your ideas that might be promising. (You don't have to justify your claim, but the proposal should be reasonable and based on what you learned from the papers you discussed above ******** That is the description of the paper. It must be 3 - 5 pages long. 3 is honestly fine. It must be in the format of IEEE Conference. I will upload an example. My topic of the paper is DDOS Attacks. You can look up info to write about it here, just google this. IEEE Conference on Security and Privacy Symposium (IEEE S&P) Paper must have some citations in it, any other questions jsut ask.
