curator couchdb datastore ruby open source work

This is a project in which the result will be open sourced. We are looking for a ruby developer to write a couchdb datastore for the curator gem: [login to view URL] Please follow the testing guidelines provided by the gems creators. Specifically here: [login to view URL] to ensure that the tests pass for all of the functionality required. The motivation for our company is that we would like to transition from our existing rails application to using curator for our ORM layer. We are currently using simply_stored/couch_potato. One specific for the implementation is that each saved object in couchdb uses the key titled: ‘ruby_class’ to denote the class of the object that is saved to the db. This is so that it’s most compatible with other couchdb ORM’s that use this convention. Such as simply_stored/couch_potato. The benefit to us is that it will help more easily transition our application from using simply_stored/couch_potato to using curator for our ORM layer. Please ensure that all the functionality is covered that is expected from curator when interacting with couchdb. When you are done submit the pull request to [login to view URL] and deal with any issues raised. Project is considered finished when it is merged in. For inspiration to how this was done in the past take a look at the following pull request which added mongodb support:[login to view URL] After this project is completed if the developer is interested we would like to undergo a larger project which would have him/her migrate our rails application code to curator.
