Hello, I understand that you are looking for a Database Repository system for the overall management of data resources in an organisation. Coming to the technology stack, we will use a php based MVC framework like codeigniter on the server side with bootstrap 3 CSS framework on the client side, coupled up with jquery. The database would be MySQL and will work on linux . These are a few functions of a data administrator would able to do ,Like : 1. Data policies, procedures, standards 2. Planning- development of organization's IT strategy, enterprise model, cost/benefit model, design of database environment, and administration plan. 3. Data conflict (ownership) resolution 4. Managing the data repository Questions : As I see it, you are looking for a directory of sorts. However I need to understand better the business logic which is why I have a few questions for you. 1. Who will enter the data on the system? Will you be doing that or will the data come from a third party source? 2. If the data comes from a third party source, Means We need to Parse the data from the source site and displayed directly on your website. I will use PHP to run the server side systems, and MySQL for the database. These are both tried and tested systems, so there won't be any incompatibility issues with linux, as it's part of the basic LAMP stack.
