Hi, I am Delphi expert with more than 15 years of experience in various areas including lot of with Interbase/Firebird database related applications, as well as db design as well. Can you tell me do you want to achieve speed improvement in existing database (like adding indices where necessary) and what areas do you want to improve (reports)? Note that speed depends a lot on how SQL queries are written, if they are bad and not optimal adding indices will only improve things to a certain point, but all depends on circumstances. Also how big is the database (number of tables) and number of tables you would like to review.

Good day! I have a lot experiences in ERP software on Delphi. I have been working in Delphi for 20 years and have wrote several ERP systems. Now several factories (milk, meat, ice-cream) and net shops (farmacy) work on them. I created database structure both standard relation DB and EAV. So i can help you.

I have an idea for this project and would like to hear your thoughts. You have two primary requirements. 1. Tune an Interbase database. 2. Tune the application that uses the database. It is best to optimize a system as a whole. Often there are dependencies between application queries, table structure, and indexes. My approach would be to do a full review of both the ERP code and the database at the same time. However, I would not make any changes to the database or code. This would be done in a follow-up project. The purpose of this approach is to simply give you an estimate of the work required. To be clear, I will deliver a document with my recommended changes.
