we are looking for someone to write a power-shell script to monitor Directory c\mydir for any file changes , and for certain files that is changed, or replaced , a trigger would replace the same exact file from c:\original-Dir , but keep the last known attributes of the new files and apply them to the original files so if someone replaced [login to view URL] with creation date 2016 < the file "c:\mydir\[login to view URL]" that was overwritten or edited on may 2016 be replaced with the original file from c:\original-Dir\[login to view URL] created in April 2012, but it would show up on the c:\mydir\ as being created on may 2016 also want this batch file to start every time the machine is restarted so the c:\mydir\[login to view URL] file will always remain as it was intended originally the script should allways run at the computer restart, and it has to run undetected to the user who is changing modifying of replacing the files this project should be a very straight forward and for an experianced shell programmer shold not take more than one of 2 hours at most

is this project still open ? please contact me . it can be done easily with powershell . I will write a script which will monitor the directory using the wmi events and specific actions can be taken whenever something changes in the directory which is to be monitored. it's not more than 30 lines of code. please contact me if this project is still open.

Hello There, I have recently started working as freelancer. So, no review. For your requirement, If c:\mydir\abc is getting replaced/changed to on 20-Aug-2016 then get the c:\original-Dir\abc file and place it in c:\\mydir\ with date as changed date by user i.e. 20-Aug-2016. so, basically by just seeing the seeing the file, user will not come to know that his changes are not saved and it will never be saved. we can create a script which does the attribute modification and schedule it through windows services to run.
