Agricultural Innovations portal

We have a WordPress site that acts as a news aggregator and information source for innovations in world agriculture. We need an editor to track news sources, select and edit relevant stories, and post them. We anticipate you'd need to scan 20 or so stories each day and would select 3-4 of them to edit and post. In addition there's a reference section which logs basic details for researchers, suppliers and other players in this field. This will need to be updated, again as individual posts; typically this would mean 10-12 new entries/posts per week. The site is associated with an annual event in this area, and as the event gets nearer the organiser may request additional posting of their marketing information. Some basic Wordpress skills would be useful, since we don't have anyone techie on board. The site works well enough now but some tweaks may be needed or recommended; typically these would be achieved via add-ins though. This could be an ongoing contract. Initially we'd sign you up for say two weeks but thereafter we'd go for 3 or 6 months at a time.
