I am currently pitching to deliver an employee value proposition to a company who has one out of the USA but they would like to localise their own for Australia and Asia.
The company is no longer a startup but is now in its teenage years of growth. The employees that started the company are now getting bored and leaving (attrition is high) so we need a whole new type of employee to entice.
Their Australian office is a proud outpost to a global portfolio.
They don’t think they can crisply say why anyone should take a job in their company and stay hence the need to create an EVP.
They are wanting a clear view on the current state
Clear Differentiating factors
A future state to help them define where their EVP should be
What their 'employee' of the future should look like based on where their company is going
They want to know what it is they want to stand out for
The EVP will be across 8 markets
Framework for evaluating our EVP for 8 markets:
India
Sri Lanka
Bangladesh
Australia
Korea
Japan
Taiwan
HK
Currently the people that are leaving are going across to big Tech companies or the Googles of the world. How do we get them to stay? How do we capture the essence of the organisation and shout it from the rooftops?
The company is dynamic and it changes alot frequently. It offers economic opportunities to millions of people and they are known to 'get stuff done quickly'.
Part of the document needs to define:
1) What we will learn through the process of articulating an EVP for these countries
2) Where we are doing well
3) Where we are not competing with our competitors
4) For people to know exactly what they get when they join us and what they get when they are here
5) What is our culture of why would you be here
6) What do we actually offer
7) Intrinsically valuable and relevant to all cultures
They have large amounts of data in attrition and engagement surveys but no EVP.
This proposal needs to outline the exact steps on consulting to this company to build their EVP. It can be a menu system where they pick and choose the bronze vs the gold version but the steps need to be outlined. Things like data, research, analysing company strategy, employee 2 years from now, focus groups, workshops, recruitment strategy etc.
