Late 40 something career changer with large gaps in employment history since 2013 needs a CV strategist, LinkedIn and SEEK profile magic maker and a Cover letter magician to get me back where I need to be. I believe that one should never write their own obit, mission statement or CV without outside expertise. ARE you a CV factory with hundreds of completed CVs to your name. Sorry , not for me. I need a specialist. Someone that gets automated CV screens keyword searchs and if perused by human eyes, 6 to 15 seconds. I have career gaps since 2013 ( previous solid 10 years in Tertiary Student Recuruitment in Australia) Layout is important but content is king. If you have experience in making pretty CVs for retail assistants, early career enthusiasts, move on. Don't spec on this. I need a truthsayer and confidant. Hi Paulo Coelho, (get the reference?) first of all you are where you need to be. Don't feel you are not flying high. Everything you have been through in your career is for the best. Can you tell me a little about the career gaps? It is not exactly a "blank" period. Work experience does not only mean "formal" work experience. The world is not perfect and humans are not either. If a prospective employer does not acknowledge the "informal" experience you gained in the various gaps, do you really want to be with that employer?
