What is the project? Mapping of commonly used medical codes used in the U.S. healthcare industry. The U.S. healthcare industry uses several codes for documentation purposes: HCPCs, CPTs, DRGs, APCs, ICDs etc. This project aims to understand the relationship between these various codes and explore building a crosswalk among them. The output will be a database with the crosswalks among codes, especially between CPTs, DRGs, and APCs. Expertise / Skills needed? High degree of expertise in use of U.S. healthcare medical codes. Strong understanding and knowledge of various medical codes in the U.S. healthcare industry, including but not limited to: HCPCs, CPTs, DRGs, APCs, ICDs and how they work together to build the crosswalk. Understanding of medical clinical terms a big plus. Work quickly to develop the crosswalks.
